It's whatever time it currently is on whatever day it happens to be, and it's been a pretty interesting day in terms of weather. It's been raining on and off, with lightning and thunder coming along with the rain, and sometimes without. After the day's events of picking up my brother from Holmes, [sorta] entertaining Diana, bowling, and then hanging out at Sean's, I'm now in my room, with my window wide open looking out at the clouded sky. It's pretty dark out there, and I'm glad the light directly outside my room is half-broken, I wish it were just broken all the time though. Lightning has been striking all over the place, at least where I can see, and it's pretty sweet. I seem to find the sound of thunder the more entertaining part though. All the thunder takes about 6-10 seconds to get to me, so it seems like the storm is pretty far away, wherever it is. Most of the lightning has been just flashes, but a few times I've seen very distinct, and very large bolts as well. For now, this very much interests me, which is why I'm posting on it.
On another note, Sean seems to be going away on Saturday morning, Peter shortly after that. I may be going to the state fair later today (Friday), although, if the rain is hanging around, I might opt out.
And there goes another bolt of lightning. Huge one, and the thunder still hasn't sounded, so it's pretty far away. I really do wonder though, where is it hitting? Is it in the middle of a field? Did some poor, lonely tree just get blown up? Or maybe in a forest? I've yet to see a lightning storm occur in a city that I happened to be in, so I don't know how common that is. But the idea that maybe those bolts are hitting people's houses and buildings is somewhat daunting. And another one, phew. Well, it's time to sleep, although I'm probably going to stay up and just watch the sky for at least another 30 minutes ^_^.
